Launched yesterday afternoon from Bayberry and proceeded to the Pine Island Channel. Once on the LIS side of the island, I stated to mark fish. I worked the rocks for about an hour picking up 9 fish up to 33”. One the incoming tide was flowing hard I moved inside and up the Jupiter Point Chanel to the “Hole”. Did not mark any fish in the hole, but decided to work it anyway. I drifted eels for and an hour picking up 3 more schoolies, then shifted to the fly rod and picked up another 3 schoolies. I decided to return to where I first started, but no fish. By then it had started to lighting and rain so I decided to get off the water. On the way back to the launch sight I pick another 2 schoolies up. It appears that in this area, the larger fish are holding just outside the estuary and are most active on the out going tides, which makes sense. Was off the water by 20:30, but with fresh Striper for the table tonight.

Craig, what time was it that you hit the bigger fish outside Pine Island? I want to relate that to the tide...

Pay a fair price for tackle. Buy it at a tackle shop.
