And I was very impressed with It, at least how it handled the rough water around Napatree point.
It handled the waves, swells and boat wakes with ease, even from the side or the dreaded two or three close waves in a row were your bow plows in to a wave while coming off the previous wave.
Just glided over it all, like being in a big old cadallic cruising down the highway.
Not so crazy with cockpit configeration though.
Allthough it is very roomy.
GPS fishfinder location is quite far away, as is designated spots for add on fishins holders.
And there is a cener console that a can't quite figure out how to use or what do with it.
BIG hatch between thighs is nice touch.
And although I't has a rudder it isn't very responsive, It seems like rudder only catches a few inches or water.
Seems to be a little short.
But I't may be a "angler" rudder, a little shorter to get in close to the rocks and such.
I also met a King cove cronnie "Salmon tim" I think he said,
He paddles a Hobie.
Very nice gentleman, gave me a few very helpfull tips.
Thanks Tim if your out there.
He also turned me on to ultimate kayakfishing.com site .
Oh by the way I did manage to catch a few schoolies, but mainly I wanted to get orientated with the yak and get a feel for how it handles in big water.
