Jeff is in first in the C&R class with a little 34inch striper smile.gif

Come on crew you don't want a NEKF sticker on the site all year.
Show season is over and done with. We are there ---> Fishing season has officially started.

Some kind of stomach bug has kept me laid up and close to the bathroom all day. cry.gif No fishing for me. I predict that any UKF members out in tonights snotty weather is gonna pull in the big fish of the weekend. biggthumpup.gif Bad weather and big fish seem to go together! Good luck all. Will try to make an appearance at the picnic.

Nils, thanks for the help while I was down there. It was great seeing the UKF boys again and meeting some new ones.Tough ,tough, tough conditions Saturday that's for sure.We ended up at Pier 5 in R.I. for the protection and scored some decent fish.I had 15 fish in total with 3 good size blues.Had one fish close to 35" that dove off my lap as I reached for the camera, tape and tourn. card.Oh well that's fishing.Too much wind for me to fish Sat.night.Jeff tried but cut his finger with his knife and had to get that taken care of.That took my heart out for fishing Sunday so I loaded up and went home.Still waiting for Jeff's call about his finger..I'll be down again in the fall to soak some eels(weather permitting).Hopefully we get to see some of you guys at the Shootout in August. Thanks again Lefty

A deep bad cut but nothing that the docs can not put back together. Seeing a specialist later this week. My thumb is ok though. biggthumpup.gif There is a black sluggo hanging on the West Bridge with a 1 ounce jig head on it. Wave hello! That was the scene of the accident. Fish were just staging too when it happened. starwar.gif

Congrats to the winners! Nils just gave you a call. Left my home number. Thanks UKF boys for all the help and making me feel welcome! signluvplace.gif

Jeff,
Hope all goes well with the finger! You were in our thoughts today, we were all very concerned.

It was a pleasure meeting both you and Lefty. Hope to see you soon. I will try to make it up to see all of you in August if I can get the shop covered. If not please remember you and Lefty are always welcome to come down any time you want.

Regards and best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Don M biggthumpup.gif

Thanks to all for the support I appreciate it. Wished I could have been to the after party. Closed my eyes earlier today after the David Ortiz walk off home run and fell asleep for 5 hours. I talked to Nils on the phone and found out I won C and R. I am honored!~

34" length 19" girth (Fishing with Lefty as my witness for measurement) Santini Tube Naragansett RI on Saturday morning. Fishing was tough everywhere. Lefty and I were lucky to find ocean front protection to troll tubes.

Jeff:

Hope the finger heals up quick for ya. Congrats on the winner. After what you went through, you certainly deserve it.

Lefty, once again, we do not cross paths. I think I'd have better luck running into you at the grocery store than at a fishing tourney. smile.gif

We will meet sooner or later, I do know that. wink.gif
