Hi , looks like my cabelas lip grip n weigh chite the bed on me....Im interested in picking up a boga. But cant decide wether to get the 30lb or 60lb model. The 30lb is about 11'' long , the 60lb is 15'' long.

The 60lb is almost 300 bucks..ouch....but i figure itll last me a lifetime. plus , what if i do catch a 50lber someday. rare i know. fishn2.gif

something tells me to go with the 30lber. it'll be good for the blues and well, 30lb stripers blink.gif fluke and tog....as well as for our freshwater friends.

like to hear your opinions/ reviews.

birthday is in april. clapping.gif ...........by

the way, anyone use the new shimano curado 300e reel?

I've got the 30-lber as well as the 15-lber that I use for freshwater and you are right in that they will last you a lifetime! Personally,..I feel that the 30-lber is physically the best size when kayak fishing for stripers and blues.
If you manage to land something that is larger than 30-lbs you can always still get the length and then figure the approximate weight from a conversion table. Besides,..most folks talk about striper size by the length rather than the weight anyways so that's gonna be the ammo that you want/need for propper bragging!! cool.gif

Save your money and get The fish grip..Thay weigh nothing, FLOAT and work great. This is going to be the next big thing for kayakers and boaters.

Decided to go with the 30lb Boga. I have one of those norton brass lip grippers. Awesome.
Its rare to catch a 50lb, so i'll just bring a tape measure.......Plus at 15'' the 60lb boga can be awkward.

The boga is igfa certified....also its small enough(1/2lb increment) to be used for our freshwater friends...........theres a 30lb pumpkinseed swimming out there. I just know it. clapping.gif

tight lines.
